Abstract

ABSTRACT

  • This study aims to determine the most contribute variation of catch from five environmental parameters, such as: water depth, water temperature, water’s PH, water transparency and water salinity. The method used in this research is observation. The result of the research measurement is water depth between 25.5 m - 40.1 m, water temperature 28 C - 30 C, water’s pH is 7 - 8, water transparency 25 cm - 34 cm, water salinity 26% - 31%. fish catches are kerisi, tambar, sekengkek, and selar kuning. From the multiple regression analysis obtained R-square of 0.761. because the research using more than two variables, used adjusted R square of 0.561. the value of 0.561 means that 56.1% of the catch amount can be explained by the five environmental parameters studied, while the remainder (100% -56.1% = 43.9%) is explained by other factors.the results of the study indicate that the catches can not be explained through every single parameter, because each parameter studied is interrelated. Through a simple regression analysis the effective contribution of each variable can be explained the variable of waters salinity is the most contribute to the catch of 64.3%
