Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept of exchanging data over the Internet with remotely controlled objects. The server room is a room that is used to store server and network devices. The frequent problem with the server administrator is that it is difficult to monitor the continuous temperature of the server room. While away from the server room, the server administrator cannot tell if the temperature is stable. This system was designed to help server administrators monitor the temperature in the server room on a regular basis without having to come to the location and provide warnings in the form of alarms when there is instability to the temperature in the server room. In this study using ESP8266 as the main control, buzzer as a warning alarm, and using DHT22 as a temperature detection sensor. To find out if the internet is connected to the ESP8266, the indicator light on the ESP8266 chip will flash. When it is connected the data will be sent to thingspeak to monitor room temperature in real-time. From the results of testing and analysis, it was found that the system was able to run as expected. The system that has been designed can already monitor the temperature in the server room and display the results on the thingspeak.com website.
