Abstract


The Village Consultative Body (BPD) has a supervisory function which includes supervision of the implementation of village regulations, village revenue budgets and village expenditures. The principle of supervision that must be carried out is that supervision is not looking for faults, but rather to avoid bigger mistakes and leaks. The purpose of the study was to determine the implementation of the supervisory function by the BPD in the implementation of the APBDes in the village of Koto Pangean, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2020. The theory is preventive supervision, a supervision carried out before work begins. For example, by supervising preparations, work plans, budget plans, plans for the use of manpower and other sources. The research approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. Qualitative approach is research that is used to investigate, find, describe, and explain the quality or features of social influence that can be explained, measured or described through a quantitative approach. While the type used in this research is descriptive. Descriptive method is a research method that describes the characteristics of the population or the phenomenon being studied. The results of this study indicate that 1. The supervision of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Koto Pangean Village is still weak, 2. The Village Consultative Body (BPD) has not carried out its functions optimally, including in supervising the implementation of village development, 3. Weak capacity members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in carrying out their duties and functions
