RESPON PENGUNJUNG TERHADAP PENGELOLAAN PARKIR DI PASAR SIMPANG BARU KECAMATAN TAMPAN KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract


The existence of simpang baru market in Pekanbaru is included as one aspect of the need which is very high. The dense number of visitors who shop, it causes the of parking efforts by the local community who take the highway body. This is certainly an interesting issue to research. This research aimed to find out the parking arrangement system and found out the buyer's response to Pasar Simpang baru parking activities in Simpang Baru Village, Tampan Kota, Pekanbaru. This research was descriptive quantitative research. The population was all buyers who came to the Pasar Simpang baru Panam, and used sampling quota and acindetal sampling techniques because it could not be ascertained the number of buyers who came to the Pasar Simpang Baru. The data was collected by questionnaires, interviews, and field observations. All the data was analysed by quantitatively descriptive, grouped in tables and then described to give a detailed explanation. The results showed 100% of respondents used a private vehicle. There were 76% of respondents felt it difficulty to find a parking space. However, all respondents once got a parking space on the side of the road and all respondents were known to be uncomfortable parking their vehicles because the parking area took the shoulder of the road approximately 1 meter. It was expected to the Pekanbaru City Government to better condition the parking conditions in The Pasar simpang baru because of the inadequate parking space.
