MOTIVASI INDONESIA EKSPOR KOPRA PUTIH KE BANGLADESH (STUDI KASUS: KOMODITI KOPRA PUTIH DARI CV. AMARTA INDRAGIRI HILIR)

Abstract


Indonesia is one of the biggest global white copra producers. To get access export for markets, Indonesia should compete with others countries. There is a high Demand for this commodity from Sri Lanka and Nepal that could not be supplied by CV Amarta, however Indonesia periorities to Bangladesh. This research explains the reasons Indonesia prefer to export white copra to Bangladesh.

This qualitative research was conducted in form of an explanatory research. Primary data was obtained from interview with Director of CV Amarta and used document analysis from journals, books, websites and other sources relate to this issue. Data was analyzed with liberalism perspective, group-level analysis, proportional factor theory: H-O theory (Hecksher-Ohlin) and national interest concept to answer research questions.

            The results showes that Bangladesh is a potential market for white copra. This is due to demand from Bangladesh, the products of white copra in Bangladesh, the significant number of population and the economy growth. The export of this commodity give positive effects for the community. The government has also made some efforts to enhance the white copra cultivations.
