KEPENTINGAN INDONESIA BERGABUNG KEMBALI KE OPEC PADA TAHUN 2015

Abstract


This research is about Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) an organization that has obligation to keep production and stabilize the world petroleum pricing that have to be focused for obligation that have been out by OPEC for cut the world production petroleum in 2016 to stabilize the world petroleum prices and the impact that affect Indonesia as one of the member of OPEC. This research discusses about “Indonesia’s politics and economics interest by rejoin OPEC in 2015”. The purpose of this research is to know why Indonesia decided to rejoin OPEC in 2015.
This is qualitative research which used descriptive explanative methods, and collecting datas from books, journals, articles, mass media, official publications and relevant websites. This paper used the neo-liberalism perspective written by David Harvey.
The result of this research is that Indonesia rejoin OPEC in 2015 because of the politics and economics interests that Indonesia has to improve its development of energy defence and to make Indonesia has more strategic role in world oil production and distribution.
