Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to analyze the use of practicum on practicum management techniques in supporting the expertise and skills (MKK) courses in the Biology Education Study Program. This research was conducted at the Biology Education Study Program in February-April 2021. The type of research used was descriptive. sampling using purposive sampling technique. The research sample is biology education students class of 2016 and 2017 with a total of 27 people. The instruments used are documentation and questionnaires. The results showed that the use of practicum on laboratory management techniques in supporting the practice of the Expertise and Skills Course (MKK) in the Biology Education Study Program was the highest usability indicator, namely the introduction and practice of using biological laboratory equipment used in 12 MKK and the lowest was the manufacture practicum. preservation is used at 5 MKK. Among the MKK with the highest usability indicator with a percentage of >60% with a supportive category, namely the subject of low plant systematics and invertebrate systematics. Meanwhile, the MKK with the lowest usability indicator with a percentage of >33% with less supportive categories, namely genetics and evolution and high plant systematics courses.
