Abstract


Abstract: The learning model that can be applied in teaching Japanese vocabulary is the Picture Word Inductive Model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Picture Word Inductive Model in improving the ability of class XII students of SMKN 7 Pekanbaru in learning Japanese vocabulary. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population were all class XII students of SMK Negeri 7 Pekanbaru, totaling 413 students and divided into 12 classes. The sample in this study was taken from the XII PBS class as the experimental class and treated using the Picture Word Inductive Model and XII MM 2 as the control class. From the research results, it is known that the use of the Picture Word Inductive Model is more effective than conventional learning. This is shown from the results of the Independent Sample T Test, obtained with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, the result is smaller than 0.05 which is the basic value of decision making in the Independent Sample T test.
