Abstract


Abstract: The study discusses the correlation of Japanese competence on the listening skill based on Japanese Language Proficiency Test level N4 question for students of the class 2020. The purpose of this study is student’s competence on vocabulary and listening skill. It also finds out the correlation between those things. The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data was obtained by distributing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test level N4 test questions to 28 students. The results of the research obtained in were that the Japanese vocabulary competence was not good enough among 28 students, 15 students pass the test. In listening skills were classified as good among 28 students, 22 students pass the test. The result of the study it was that the Japanese vocabulary competence has a correlation to listening skills.
