PENGARUH GAME ONLINE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 3 DUMAI

Abstract


Abstract: This study is motivated by the growing number of students playing online games. Online games themselves can interfere with learning or dislike reading because of the over-addiction that comes from these online games. If students become too addicted to online games, it can lead to lower student achievement. Seeing this, the author wants to study one of the schools in the city of Dumai to see if there is an impact of online games on student learning outcomes in SMA Negeri 3 Dumai. This study is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study is class XI SMA Negeri 3 Dumai, total of 268 students, with a sample of 30 respondents determined by purposeful sampling to avoid samples that do not match. The methods of data collection are observation, questioning and documentation. The data analysis method uses a simple linear regression formula using the SPSS version 23 application with the formula Y = a + Bx. From the results of a simple linear regression analysis, it is known that the regression equation Y = 44.118 - 0.569X, from the results of this equation, we can conclude that the constant is 44.118, which means that the consistenc y value of the student learning outcomes variable is 44.118, the regression coefficient X is -0.569 , indicating that adding 1% of online games to student learning outcomes would increase by -0.569. a negative coefficient means that online games (X) have a negative impact on student learning outcomes (Y). According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that online games influence the learning outcomes of students of SMA Negeri 3 Think, which is 61%.
