Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to see the effect of the value of the Micro Teaching course on teaching readiness in PLP activities for Economic Education students of 2017 FKIP UNRI. This research was conducted at the 2017 Economics Education Study Program who had completed the Micro Teaching course and were declared to have passed as the main requirement in participating in the PLP (Introduction to Schooling Field) process. This study uses a documentation technique method, and the entire population is sampled and students who take PLP online are the subjects in this study, totaling 41 students. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire arranged on a Likert scale. The analysis technique used in this research is simple regression. The result of the coefficient of determination (R2) in this study is -0.013 that the percentage of the influence of the value of the Micro Teaching course on teaching readiness is 0% which explains that the value of the Micro Teaching course has no effect on teaching readiness. Fcount results show 0.478 smaller than Ftable, which is 4.08 which means that the value of the micro teaching course has no effect on teaching readiness. Thus, it can be concluded that there are many factors that support Economic Education students of FKIP UNRI to have teaching readiness, and grades are not the main benchmark for determining whether a prospective teacher is ready or not ready to teach. A high score does not necessarily mean that the readiness to teach students of Economics Education FKIP UNRI is also high, and vice versa.
