Abstract


Abstract: This research is motivated by the Covid-2019 outbreak, which requires online learning, there are many learning media in online lectures that are incompatible with the learning styles of Pancasila and Civics Education students, who have different abilities and ways to absorb information in using media. learning, so that the learning system in the network is very ineffective in absorbing the information and material presented by the lecturer. There are three learning styles, namely visual, audiovisual, and kinesthetic, these learning styles affect a person in receiving, absorbing and processing information. This study aims to determine how the characteristics of the learning styles of Pancasila and Civics Education students in online lectures and how the behavior and strategies of Pancasila and Civics Education students are based on their learning styles. The population in this study were students of Pancasila and Civics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, who also experienced online lectures during the Covid-2019 period. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with a sample of 74 Pancasila and Civics Education students from class 2017. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the learning styles of Pancasila and Civics Education students that were most dominant in online lectures during the Covid-2019 period were 70% kinesthetic learning styles, kinesthetic learning styles were learning styles that easily caught lessons when moving, touching, and seeing directly / demonstrate it. The behavior and learning strategies of students who have a kinesthetic learning style, namely liking online lectures using zoom meetings, studying during lectures online and during exams, using free internet facilities to watch YouTube and study.
