ANALISIS TENTANG TINGKAT LITERASI POLITIK PEMILIH PEMULA DI DESA TANJUNG HARAPAN KABUPATEN LINGGA

Abstract


Abstract: This research was motivated by the low interest of first-time voters in Tanjung Harapan Village of 31.8% who only liked discussions related to politics and participated in the implementation of political participation in Tanjung Harapan Village. If, seen from the participation of novice voters in the implementation and joining the General Election Commission in the General Election in Tanjung Harapan Village, 40.9% did not participate in the implementation and joined the General Election Commission in the Election. This shows that the level of understanding of beginner voters is still poor, so the author wants to see how the level of political literacy of new voters in Tanjung Harapan Village. Therefore, it can be seen that the benchmarks of high or low level of political literacy for new voters in Tanjung Harapan Village. Formulation of the problem in this study How is the political literacy level of first-time voters in Tanjung Harapan Village, Lingga Regency. The population in this study were 719 new voters aged 17-22 years in Tanjung Harapan Village and the sample in this study was 88 respondents. The data collection instruments were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with quantitative descriptive. The results showed that from the calculation of the percentage of respondents as a whole, moderate answers were obtained as much as 66.41% in the range of 52.01% - 68.00% for the political literacy level of first-time voters in Tanjung Harapan Village. Thus, it can be concluded that the level of political literacy of first-time voters in Tanjung Harapan Village, Lingga Regency is at the “Medium” level. The recommendation in this study is for Beginner Voters to increase their level of political literacy and participate in their participation in political activities. And it is hoped that further researchers can become a reference for further research in an effort to achieve mutual prosperity.
