Abstract


Abstract: This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students' Civics, with an average grade of 59.25. KKM PKn value is 78 with the number of students 24 people only 5 students who reach KKM with 20.8% classical completeness. This research includes classroom action research conducted aimed to improve the learning outcomes of third grade students of SD Negeri 83 Pekanbaru by applying cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). The formulation of the problem: whether the application of cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve the learning outcomes of Civics students class III SD Negeri 83 Pekanbaru. The study was conducted on October 20, 2017 to November 24, 2017 with 2 cycles. The subjects of this study are students of class III C SD Negeri 83 Pekanbaru with the number of students 24 people consisting of 12 women and 12 men. Instrument of data collecting in this thesis is activity sheet of teacher and student and test result of learning. This thesis presents the learning results obtained from Daily Deuteronomic value before action with an average of 59.25, increasing in cycle I with average to 78.95. In the second cycle increased an average of 89.58. The results of research in class III C SD Negeri 83 Pekanbaru proved that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve the learning outcomes of third grade students of SD Negeri 83 Pekanbaru
