PENERAPAN MODEL PROBING PROMPTING PADA MATERI OPTIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI SMA PGRI PEKANBARU

Abstract


Abstract: The purpose of the research is to know the physical cognitive learning outcomes by implementing probing prompting model. The research is done in SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. The research used a quasi-experiment using intact group comparison research plan. Population of this experiment was the sophomore of science class of the high school. The sample was taken from 2 classes that consist of a control class and an experiment class. Data collecting was done by cognitive learning outcomes test after implementing probing prompting model to the experiment class and conventional model to the control class. Data analysis was done descriptively and the result is showing the student on the experiment class could absorb 80.63% of the teaching and the student on the conventional class only 75.88%. The conclusion is by implementing probing prompting model could increase the cognitive learning outcomes of the student specifically on optics subject.
