Abstract


The rapid development of technology in today's millennial era has made
buying and selling agreements that were originally done conventionally possible
in cyberspace. In buying and selling transactions carried out in cyberspace, the
parties involved have entered into legal relations as outlined in the form of an
electronic agreement which has been stated in Article 1 number 17 that Electronic
Contract is an agreement of the parties made through the Electronic System.
With the formulation of the problem, namely: How is the Application of
the Law of Buying and Selling Online Game Accounts "Pubg Mobile (Player
Unknown's Battleground)" through the Facebook Marketplace? And how is the
legal protection for parties who carry out buying and selling online game
accounts "PUBG Mobile (Player Unknown Battleground)" through the Facebook
Marketplace?, the type of research is normative juridical with a legal approach
and data collection methods using interviews, questionnaires, and literature
studies.
The results of this study indicate that legal protection for consumers in this
electronic transaction agreement can be properly accommodated by the
government, in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK)
and Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Transaction Information
which has been amended. Law Number 19 of 2016 (UU ITE), the law has been
able to provide adequate protection for consumers in buying and selling online
game accounts through e-commerce, while legal remedies taken by consumers if
rights are harmed in This electronic transaction can use instruments from positive
law, the Consumer Protection Law Number 8 of 1999 is contained in Article 19
and Law Number 11 of the Year which has been amended by Law Number 19 of
2016 is contained in Article 38.
