ANALISIS SEKTOR BASIS DI WILAYAH RIAU PESISIR

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the base sector in the economy in the Riau Coast region and determine the sectors that experienced changes and growth in the Riau Coast region in the year using the Location Quertion method and the Shift Share method. This study uses secondary data in the form of time series from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) of Regency / City and Riau Province in 2015-2019. This study consists of three variables: Gross Regional Domestic Product, Economic Sector and Leading Sector. The results of the Location Question analysis show that there are sixteen economic sectors which are the basic sectors in the Coastal Riau Region and the mining and quarrying sector, the manufacturing sector, the transportation and warehousing sector and the government administration sector, defense and social security required to be the dominant sector. The results of the Shift Share analysis showed Bengkalis Regency, Rokan Hilir Regency and Kepulauan Meranti Regency to depend on the economy in the primary sector, while Indragiri Hilir Regency, Pelalawan Regency, Siak Regency and Dumai City that the area had the economic structure of the area dominated by the secondary sector.
