ANALISIS PENGARUH TINGKAT PARTISIPASI ANGKATAN KERJA (TPAK) DAN TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN TERBUKA (TPT) TERHADAP TINGKAT KEMISKINAN DI PROVINSI RIAU

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Labor Force Participation Rate and Open Unemployment Rat on poverty in Riau Province. Data that uses is time series data in 2004-2020. Analysis of the data in this sudy using a multiple linear regression method with Eviews 10. The result of the testing has been done, individual regression test showed that Labor Force Participation Rate has no significant on poverty levels of Riau Province, but the Open Unemployment Rate have a significant and positive effect on poverty levels of Riau Province. The entire regression test showed that all independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable. The magnitude of the effect caused by the two independent variables together on the dependent variable of 0,766050 that mean is 77%, while the remaining 23% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Advice to the Government for tackling the poverty problems with upgrade the education or skills to upgrade their productivity. Additionally, government should to expand the investment for expand the jobs too.
