Abstract

From The results of research using the Porter's Five Forces Model theory approach show that the competition variable in the crumb rubber industry has a high level of competition where the crumb rubber industry competes in the world market with foreign producing countries. The threat of new entrants is theoretically weak because of the large barriers to entry into the industry. From the supplier variable, the company has a high supply of one supplier, namely rubber farmers in Kuantan Singingi Regency, and has a low supplier, namely rubber traders in Jambi province. Suppliers face oligopoly market conditions where the company is the determinant of the price, the collector traders the authority of the price and the supplier is the recipient of the price so that the bargaining power of the suppliers is weak. The bargaining power of buyers is strong according to theory, where the buyer is able to control prices and purchases. The threat of substitute products is strong in theory, replacement products have relatively cheap prices and are of good quality. And the influence of Stakeholder Power (local government policy) is weak according to theory in developing the crumb rubber industry and in improving the economy of rubber farmers in Kuantan Singingi Regency.
