Abstract


This research was conducted at the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of professionalism and organizational commitment on employee performance with work effectiveness as an intervening variable at the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. The population in this study included all employees of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, totaling 165 people. The sampling technique used the slovin formula so that 62 employees of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra were selected. Primary data collected by questionnaire as an instrument to prove the results of the study. The results of this study conclude that: 1) there is a significant influence of professionalism on the work effectiveness of the employees of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, 2) there is a significant influence of organizational commitment on the work effectiveness of the employees of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, 3) there are Significant effect of professionalism on the performance of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, 4) there is a significant effect of organizational commitment on the performance of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, 5) there is a significant effect of work effectiveness on the performance of the Civil Service Police Unit employee. Praja, Agam Regency, West Sumatra.The work effectiveness variable as an intervening variable significantly mediates the indirect relationship of professionalism variable to performance, and organizational commitment variable to the performance of the Civil Service Police Unit, Agam Regency, West Sumatra.
